Hello Mr. President!
Today we contestants got a pleasant surprise. Yesterday we were told that we would be going to Nelson Mandela's house but upon arriving to our destination today we found out that we were going to have tea with the President and have a mini press conference! That went swell and we were all excited. I'll have you guys know that I made the SABC3 TV news and got surprisingly just as much coverage as Miss South Africa. We were all given the opportunity to take individual photos with the President but when it was my turn, I didn’t just shake his hand. I thanked him for having us and told him I was honored to meet him. I also brought love and greetings from the Bahamas. They aired our interaction on the news, so that was pretty exciting. Just when I thought the day couldn’t get any more exciting, I found out that I made the talent finals and will be one of the contestants fighting to win the talent fast track! I am thrilled to say the least, and I promise to do my very best in Sunday’s final.

Belated Happy Birthday my dear. I saw on the site that you are up to # 17. I wanted to cry. Im so Proud of you. You dont hear from me much but I'm following your progress and praying for you. I can's wait to see if the pagent will be run on a network in the Bahamas - I'll have a watch Joanna Party. Love you, Mom # 2
